Skip hire made easy
What happens when I
order a skip?
It starts off with a 5 step process and starts with us receiving your order
and finishes with us collecting your skip on an arranged date.
Ordering your skips with us online.
It’s an easy process as we help you every step along the way when
you order your skip online with AMA Waste. We help you choose
which size you need. We ask a few simple questions such as what
waste is going in the skip and when will it be delivered. Then all you
have to do is make a payment and the skip is ordered.
Step 2:
Delivering the skip to your location.
We then delivered the skip to your requested delivery address on the
date you requested. We cannot guarantee times, however we will
endeavour to deliver at a time convenient to you. It is your
responsibility to keep access open for the delivery.
Step 3:
You fill the skip.
Fill the skip at your own leisure, you can take up to 2 weeks to do this.
Make sure no hazardous waste goes in the skip!
Step 4:
Your skip is collected.
Please call us at least 72 hours before to book in the collection to
ensure the skip is collected on the day you wish.
Step 5:
Your waste is recycled.
When we collect the skip we take it back to a local waste transfer
station. Here all the waste is segregated into the different waste
streams to be recycled. We recycle over 98% of all waste!

Can my skip be placed on the road?
Yes. If this is the case you need a skip permit for your Skip Hire, which we can arrange for you. Please allow up to a week for us to do this. If you need the skip sooner please contact the office and we will see if we can arrange a quicker permit for you. Alternatively you can choose a wait and load where you do not need a permit, you just have the skip for 30 minutes and the driver waits with the skip as you load it. Please note all skip permits have a surcharge.
How long can I have the skip for?
You can have the skip for a maximum of 14 days. If you require having the skip longer this can be arranged, please contact the office to do so.
What is a wait and load?
A wait and load is where you do not need a permit, you just have the skip for 30 minutes and the driver waits with the skip as you load it. These can be done on your property or on the road, without a permit.
